Gym Update: Precisions, Freerunning, and Tank Tops!
We wrapped up a week of precision training at Horizons! A precision is a jump from one obstacle to another, starting and finishing on your feet. Doing so often requires being exact in order to land directly on the object. With this drill, it is important to start will small, low jumps, until strength and confidence is built and jumps can be increased.
This week at the gym, we are working on climbing!
Are you interested in learning a backflip? We will be conducting a freerunning summer camp August 1st to August 5th from 9:30 am to 12 pm. Freerunning is a version of parkour that includes acrobatics and gymnastics, where creativity, self-expression, and the ability to improvise are the main focuses. For the week, we will be focusing on the use of flips and aerial movement in parkour training! The cost is $179, and is limited to ages 12+. If you or someone you know is interested in learning freerunning, sign up here!
It’s hot! Sometimes training in your regular Parkour Horizons shirt can get a little too warm—that’s why we’ve put in an order for limited edition Parkour Horizons tank tops! The tank tops will be available in all sizes and are 100% cotton. They should arrive soon along with more short sleeve shirts!
As we are updating our website, we are looking for willing individuals to participate in video testimonials. If you are interested in sharing your parkour journey for us to put on the website, please let us know, we would be glad to have your help!
