Dear Horizons’ friends and families,

We’re sorry to announce that the Parkour Horizons gym will be shutting its doors on July 14, 2019. As such, our last day of regular classes will be Thursday, July 11th. On Friday, July 12th and Saturday, July 13th we will not hold regular classes but instead will be breaking down the gym and packing up. Anyone who would like to stop by during that time to help out and say good bye is welcome. We’ll probably be arranging an informal pot-luck on Friday evening for gym members, family, and friends.

While this announcement will no doubt come as a surprise to some, it has been a long time coming for us. We have tried to find a sustainable way to keep our doors open but we are now out of options.

But we want you to know that we tremendously thankful for your support these past five years. It has been a joy to train with and to get to know you all. So we hope that you can stop by next week for a class or an open gym to say hello.

Unfortunately, closing down a gym requires tying up loose ends so we’ve included what information you think you’ll need to know over the coming days.

  1. We will be hosting all regularly scheduled classes as normal (except for Team Training) until July 11th.
  2. We will be canceling all gym memberships from July onwards so that no one is charged for a membership that they cannot use.
  3. Out of necessity we will be canceling all remaining summer camps, events, and private training sessions in the gym. For those who have remaining sessions, we will reach out to you to see if we can make any arrangements or accommodations with other gyms or trainers.
  4. We will be open all day on Friday July 12 and Saturday July 13 for people to stop in, say hello, and help out.

Future updates will be made here and on our social media pages. While the gym will be closing, we are exploring other ways in which we can keep the Parkour Horizons community alive in a different form.

So, once again, thank you and remember to keep training!

All Our Best,

The Horizons Team
